Young Composers from the University of Toronto

Hailing from across Canada and beyond – and drawing on widely diverse influences from steel band, electronic dance music, Chinese folk music, Japanese anime music, Folk, Jazz, and funk – eight young composers studying at the Faculty of Music at the University of Toronto join us to showcase their recent compositions.

The historic Great Hall will rebound with new and forward-looking works by the students of Larysa Kuzmenko, Norbert Palej and Abigail Richardson-Schulte. Come and cheer on their exciting – and intriguing – musical explorations into the sounds of the future. A key event of our annual music calendar!
